Air Conditioning Controllers

Webasto's Blue Cool control units let you choose between two operating modes: fully automatic mode in which the interior temperature is monitored and the Webasto air conditioning system cools your cabin automatically as soon as the programmed temperature is overshot; or semi-automatic mode, in which you control the fan output so that you can, for instance, reduce the airflow at night for a more peaceful sleep.

Air Control

This unit controls the air-conditioner (and Air Handler depending on the model). Set the desired room temperature and the Webasto air-conditioners cool automatically.

Chiller Control

In addition to controlling you air-conditioner, the same control unit also offers complete control of your water heater. Simply enter the desired temperature and the rest is automatic.

Webasto Blue Comfort is a fully integrated climate control system, which combines our expertise in heating and cooling technology. The system is fully integrated and allows the user to simply set a required temperature and that temperature will be maintained regardless of the weather conditions outside the boat.

A Blue Cool Premium system is combined with a purpose designed diesel fired water heater and the result is a total climate solution. The diesel-fired heater is integrated into the chilled water circuit and provides warm water in the system when required. The system is controlled via the air conditioning controls and is simple and straightforward to use. Fully automatic the system switches between cool and heat mode as required. In hot weather the system will automatically operate the air conditioning and the chiller will cool the water in the circuit and circulate it around the system to the air handlers, which provide the required level of cooling to the cabins. When the weather is cold outside the heater is activated and the water in the circuit is heated to 52ºC and circulated around the system to the air handlers, which act as heater fans and provide heat into the cabins. Thermostatically regulated, the system maintains control of the climate within the boat and ensures that the set point temperature is achieved and humidity within the boat is maintained at a comfortable level.

The Blue Comfort system is the complete system for heating and cooling your boat and offers numerous benefits. Firstly the level of control is far greater than a separate heating and cooling system as it provides the exact desired temperature for each individual cabin. The system also offers great benefits over a simple air conditioning system with a reverse cycle function. Whilst reverse cycle will provide a small amount of heat in the cabins, this is only efficient when the outside water temperature is above 5ºC, once the outside water temperature drops below this the system is unable to produce any heat and this is exactly the time that heating is required. Because the system is fully integrated it is much easier to fit than two separate systems and consumes less space within the boat.
